Many books are targeted for removal from our libraries every year. Another word for this is banned. Here are the most targeted books for being banned in Libraries. The infographic on banned books shows the top 10 targeted books.
Some of the reasons these books are targeted for bans are nudity, sexually explicit, offensive language, suicide, racism, sexism, violence, homosexuality, drugs and religious viewpoints.
A few of the books such as Catcher in the Rye, To Kill a Mocking Bird and the Color Purple are considered long-time classics, while other banned books like Twilight, And Tango Makes Three are newer arrivals to the targeted book list.
